Why We Believe In Fan Ownership:
Top flight football clubs in England are becoming increasingly disconnected from their core fan bases. More and more clubs are being bought out by foreign individuals and investment groups which do not have any ties to the local community. Along with this disconnection between ownership and community rising ticket prices are pricing many of the clubs core supporters out of the stadium. Our foremost goal is to bridge this growing divide.
The club is at the heart of the community and the community is at the heart of the club. Therefore we will ensure that both grow together and that both profit from each other. Our team believes in the inclusive nature of sport as enjoyment and participation for all.
Our Goals:
- To purchase the club on behalf of the community and fans.
- To run the club on a model similar to FC Barcelona where the fans elect representatives and the President.
- To bring NUFC and the whole community, not just fans, closer together.
- To bring the community involvement of the club to unprecedented levels thus making it a beacon for all other clubs and communities.
- To run and maintain the club with significant funding to fund transfers and operational costs.
- To restore the team’s performances by bringing stability to the club through certainty of ownership.
